Photographers Partnering with Zoos

With Shawnee Riplog-Peterson, Curator Mammalogy and Ornithology at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson, Arizona.

Rhonda and Jay talk to Shawnee about the Photography Classes that are put on by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Jay and Shawnee developed several classes that provide a “photography experience” where participants get great photo opportunities with a class hosted by a professional photographer and a zookeeper. These popular classes have been a source of income for the photographer and the Zoo to the mutual benefit of both. How photographers can start something similar in their own communities is explored.
